Music is arguably the most unifying factor in this world. Over the past two years, the annual Sustain with Sound Music & Arts Festival has drawn thousands of people to Wilmington for a day-long sustainable celebration benefiting the health and well-being of our oceans. Through live music and art, the festival entertains and educates people on the importance of protecting and preserving our environment. Artists, vendors and musicians join with businesses, media and policymakers to give back to our oceans, at no cost to the planet. The festival is designed to be zero-waste using only compostable or recyclable objects, eliminating all single use plastic, and powered through solar technology. The profits from this event have gone towards UNCW Plastic Ocean Project – whose mission is to protect and preserve the oceans with initiatives such as outreach through art, education through research, and community engagement. This year we plan to put on a bigger and better festival, doubling last years attendance of 1200 people and donation. We would love for you to be a part of it!
